‘Focus’ is a soundscape composition from the first year of course in electronic music for conservatory of music ‘Santa Cecilia’. All sounds were taken from a first model of Ford Focus.
Originally recorded with Zoom H1, all the samples have been processed with Max/MSP. The track develops with great dynamic variations. Some sound-hook elements help the listener to plumb a sort of rhythm that identifies the beginning and the end of the sections.
Some of the sound textures are obtained by audio stretching and granulating. Many other sounds have been composed together to create a imaginary sound panorama. In it, the listener finds himself lost between concreteness and electronic music.
