The
commission

Mix and master for “AURA impossibile” (2026), the second album by Samuele CYMA, after mixing his debut “Sigillata Luce” (2023): electroacoustic pop between glitch, shoegaze, hyper-emo and contemporary jazz.

Samuele CYMA writes, plays and produces his own records in Rome. His debut album, “Sigillata Luce”, was mixed in Berlin in 2023. The second, “AURA impossibile”, was mixed and mastered in full, with the post-production of “Dissolvimi” and “Sabbie immobili” shared with Giovanni Tancredi. Both albums are out on PLUMA dischi, an Irma Records label: “AURA impossibile” came out on 11 September 2026 and was presented live at Brancaleone, Rome, on 8 October 2026.

Something that exists, only while it slips away

“AURA impossibile” plays on three meanings of aura: the one that comes before a migraine and distorts everything, Walter Benjamin’s aura, the presence that escapes, and the “aura farming” of social media. Nine tracks move between glitch, broken electronics, hyper-emo, shoegaze, ambient and noise, and an acoustic ensemble recorded at ACM Recording Studio in Ciampino: drums, baritone sax, tuba, flute and guitars. The record ends on “impossibile”, for strings and guitars alone.
