commission
Production music with The Doge, a collective between Genoa and Berlin, since 2020; the album “Hotel 17” (2021) with PUSH.audio and ten guest vocalists; the post-production of “Salt Lake” (2023).
The Doge is a collective of musicians based between Genoa and Berlin. Drawing on varied musical backgrounds, they create original music ready for use in media productions, and the collaboration covers music production and sound engineering. On “Hotel 17”, their first album, released on 1 November 2021 with the Los Angeles music company PUSH.audio and followed by an instrumental edition in 2024, the credit is co-composer of all ten songs. On “Salt Lake”, released on 17 November 2023 by Nadir Music: the post-production. The video for “The Last Ride” premiered on Askanews.

“Hotel 17” leans into the band’s soulful jazz side: slow, deliberate tempos and smoky, effect-laden vocals, with a different voice on every song, among them Janaé E., Reach 1, Sylvia MacCalla, Will Spitwell, Esbie Fonte, pHoenix Pagliacci and nēKa. “Salt Lake”, funded by the NuovoIMAIE “Nuove Produzioni Discografiche 2022–2023” grant, is instrumental and goes the other way, into the desert: tex-mex, Italian spaghetti western, alternative and folk rock, nine tracks closing on the ten minutes of “40 Days in the Salt Desert”, with Don Antonio’s guitars on “The Last Ride” and “Porto Pidocchio”.
