Andrea Salustri’s ‘MATERIA’ aims to discover, explore and witness the vital energy of one material: polyester. The project investigates the borders between contemporary circus, dance, object theatre, and sound experimentation.
Andrea Salustri’s MATERIA works at the borders of contemporary circus, dance, object theatre and sound experimentation, and was presented at La Biennale di Venezia 2023. Its sound design was created for the piece.

During the performance several sound installations come to life. Within a set score, the objects are free to perform and take the initiative, forming an orchestra of polyester that plays live.
