commission
“Elevazioni: Sinestesie Materiche”, an audiovisual installation by Eric Oder for Sogimi at the Superdesign Show, Milan Design Week 2025: soundscapes, concrete sounds and AI-generated visuals.
An audiovisual installation for the Sogimi Hub in the Superdesign Show, during Milan Design Week 2025. The theme, “Elevations: Material Synesthesia”, reads Sogimi’s materials through the ideas of flight and balance.
From static materials to breathing entities.
The starting point was a set of macro photographs of Sogimi’s materials, reworked by Davide Dall’Osso. Stable Diffusion, run in a local environment with ComfyUI patches, turned them into moving AI-generated visuals, and video enhancement took care of resolution, slow motion and frame interpolation. Against them, soundscapes and concrete sounds. Material transformation becomes the artistic gesture: static surfaces start to move, and the space turns multisensory, in keeping with the themes of flight and balance.
